• Hosting – A web hosting company is responsible for maintaining all the “behind-the-scenes” files that make up what you see when you visit a web site.  In addition, they also supply software programs that make web pages “work”. (i.e. shopping carts, catalogs/inventories etc.)        

• Web Site / Landing or Lead Capture Page – Most of you have heard all of these terms, but I want to quickly clarify the differences between each one.  A Web Site is made up of pages and that’s what a visitor sees on the internet when they go to a specific domain name.  A Landing Page is an interim page that a visitor sees before going to the main web site.  The sole purpose of a landing page is to turn visitors into subscribers or opt-ins, by capturing their name, email address and any other information you may desire.
   
• Autoresponder – An autoresponder service is vital to internet marketing.  It allows you to create the subscriber/opt-in forms you see on the Landing Page.  You will use this service to build your prospect database and send out email marketing letters and other communications to your subscribers.
